Hi community! My name is Kortney Watkins and I am staff here at TLM. Like you, I'm a writer. I write anything from poetry to short stories to novels. Concerning my short stories, I tend to write dark, Southern speculative fiction whereas my novels are Christian Fantasy. Currently, I am in talks with a few publishers for my Christian Fantasy series. Some short term goals are to be accepted into a few anthologies for my short stories and poetry. Like many of you, I aspire to be the next big thing in the writing world. How cool would it be to retire! :-)
If any of you are interested in learning more about me or what I write, please reach out.
Hi Everyone. My name is L. Renee James-Griffin , and I am also one of the staff members at TLM Language Services. Welcome to our networking forum. I am more of a mainstream/literary writer who is obsessed with everyday people and their untold stories. For me, the best stories are the ones that are authentic and capture humans handling mundane tasks in interesting ways. When I sit down to write, character(s) speak to me. Their voices call to me and demand to be heard. The essence of any story I write or have written, whether it is a poem, article, short story, or novel, is voice. The main character's voice must be infused with the story. What is his or her voice? And why is she or he demanding an audience? TLM community, what do you write and why?
Greetings all. My name is Aziza Sphinx (though I am sometimes known as Ana'Gia Wright). I am an author/writer in Atlanta, GA working with TLM Language Services. I am a Southerner through and through and this aspect of my life shows up in all of my stories. Whether speculative in nature or walking the line of Urban fiction home is the playground my character choose. I believe in thinking outside of the box and exploring arenas underrepresented by people of color and women. My female characters love to delve in male dominated trades from tow truck drivers to sheet metal fabrication. They tell their stories, I am but the scribe, but truth exists even in works of fiction. I love stories that reveal a truth and I search for hidden messages both in my own works and those I choose to read.
